All pianos experience wear and tear over time. With regular use, the felt, leather and action parts will start to wear down and you will notice a change in the way your piano looks and sounds. At our piano store Maple, we offer a full range of restoration and repair services. Restorations require a thorough cleaning, replacement or repairing of any damaged parts, tightening and lubrication of action parts and regulating, adjusting and voicing. As for rebuilding, this usually requires the disassembly of the cabinet, repairs or replacement of the soundboard, bridges and pinblock. Restoring the damper system requires replacing the strings, action parts and hammer. If needed, we will also refinish the cast-iron plate. When we are done restoring your piano, you will love the way it looks and sounds.

Factors that can cause your piano to go out of tune include temperature changes, humidity, frequent use, slipping tuning pins and stretched strings.
